Drawing on many years of experience and expertise in the field of anti-inflammatory analgesic hydrogel patches and tapes (patches), developing work at Teikoku Seiyaku is now proceeding in two parallel paths.
The first focuses on new products in therapeutic areas other than pain relief, employing “transdermal absorption technology” which is an offshoot of our specialty in anti-inflammatory analgesic hydrogel patches. As experts in transdermal absorption technology, we feel that such products have great potential for a wide variety of applications.
The second focus of product development is on pain-relief products.
In addition to existing anti-inflammatory and analgesic patches, we are contributing to the improvement of quality of life for patients by offering a wide range of dosage forms for the treatment of pain, including capsules and tablets as well as tape formulations for persistent cancer pain. Teikoku Seiyaku is one of the few manufacturers licensed to handle narcotic drugs for medical use in Japan and abroad.
Additionally, in the field of dermatology, we are focusing on external dosage forms as well as ointments and creams, not only in patch forms that are applied to the skin in the orthopedics field. In the related field of dermatology, we will continue to work on development regardless of dosage forms.
